This week we heard the sad news of the passing of Joan Rivers.
The comedienne broke all the rules, pushed the boundaries. And above all made us laugh.
Her own life was not one without sadness, the suicide of her husband, being banned from late night television. But she continued to make us laugh, laughing at her self. She was a front runner on the aids epidemic. Not only did we all enjoy her wit, and her own shocking acts, we admired her, loved her. And she loved her gay audience and was very outspoken on this. She was genuine, she officiated two gay marriages, was very public in praising and ACKNOWLEDGING the gay community.
Friday at 1:17 pm we lost a true star. The world will be slightly grey without her. “Can we talk”, will never be the same. RIP Ms. Joan Rivers.
